Hungry Kya? Jus' e-page - The Hindu

WEDDING BELLS ringing and the blood pressure rising. No. These are not those mandatory butterflies in the stomach before matrimony, but alarm bells ringing at the unavailability of a marriage hall! You make calls, tell friends, contact colleagues, but to no avail. What next?

It's a hard day at office. You reach home sapped of all energy. Not even an ounce or two to make yourself a frugal meal.

Eating out is a good idea, but the best restaurant is miles away. For someone who spends the whole day in office, you draw a blank when it comes to knowledge of restaurants near the house. Are there any decent restaurants nearby?

Just log onto the e-pages of the City-based portal, HamaraShehar.com. If it is dining out, type out your location and lo, the list of restaurants with contact numbers, the type of cuisine served there, seating capacity, parking facilities, telephone numbers, timings, dress code and other details appear on the screen.

Marriage hall? No problem. The names of function halls, the services they offer, be it videography, catering or floral arrangements, the availability and what have you, all tumble out in a jiffy.

"Yellow pages are only for small towns. In big cities where needs, goods and sellers are in huge numbers, e-pages are the answer. We give comprehensive details of a commodity, its availability and even the timings of the store so that you can plan your visit. For eliciting the same information, people have to make calls to all the stores listed in the yellow pages," says the portal mayor, Prasad Bodepudi.

The e-pages have profiles of popular establishments and even guides that show the consumer how to buy and maintain various products.

What more, the e-pages services complete with details of shopping establishments in the twin cities small and big and covering various areas businesses like bakeries, cloth showrooms, electronics, jewellery, travel agencies and even services of chartered accountants and lawyers come in Telugu and Hindi as well.

e-pages ahoy!
